Marketing & Communications Manager

About the Role
This is a hands‑on and strategic role where no two days are the same.
You’ll Lead On
* Social media strategy and content creation
* Brand development and storytelling
* Recruitment and employer branding campaigns
* Internal communications and colleague engagement
* Website development and digital presence
* PR, media and stakeholder engagement
* Campaigns linked to strategic growth and innovation
* Supporting communications around major projects including digital transformation
You will also play a key role in shaping and developing Avalon’s website – ensuring it remains engaging, accessible, modern, and reflective of Avalon’s values and strategic ambitions. This includes working with external developers and internal teams to improve user experience, develop new content, support recruitment campaigns, and strengthen Avalon’s overall digital presence.
About You
* A strong communicator and natural storyteller
* Experienced in marketing, communications, PR or digital engagement
* Creative, proactive, and highly organised
* Confident managing multiple campaigns and priorities
* Passionate about values‑led communications
* Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively
* Someone who understands the importance of tone, reputation, and authenticity
Experience within social care, health, charity, or public sector environments would be beneficial, but more importantly we’re looking for someone who shares our values and wants to help make a difference.
