We are a long-standing manufacturer of GRP (Glass Reinforced Plastic) products, specialising in high quality formwork panels used in civil engineering and construction projects. The Role:
We are currently seeking to appoint a Quality Control Supervisor to our team. This is an exciting opportunity for a driven and organised individual to become part of a strong, collaborative team in a growing business. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, a proactive approach to maintaining high standards, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
What we are looking for:
An experienced individual who has worked in a variety of industries and can influence the manufacturing process, demonstrate competence and deliver results. Someone who will promote a "let's get it right first time" attitude to all aspects of the role.
The individual will be confident in Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Word and reading/interpreting technical drawings. The successful individual will show leadership by helping set clear quality standards and ensuring compliance with these standards.
The Quality Control Supervisor role will involve:
· Developing and managing the QMS for ISO9001.
· Leading Continuous Improvement
· Training and mentoring staff within the manufacturing facility
· Streamlining quality processes and procedures
· Coordinating with a variety of departments and external stakeholders
· Attending staff meetings/team building
· Ensuring compliance to all policies and procedures
· Conducting internal audits·
. Ensuring that product is inspected on the day of production at specific intervals and to comply with the relevant agreed standards.
· Ensuring reporting of defects immediately to the management team ·
Raising Non-Conformance reports on the relevant form(s) and ensuring that these are assigned to the relevant person(s) for investigation and action·
. Actively participating in Non-Conformance Investigations and be proactive in formulating targeted corrective actions·
. Ensure to monitor that all required finishing or remedial works are identified and completed prior to stack products for delivery ·
. Ensuring high standards of all Quality records / documents are always maintained up to date
Minimum Requirement:
At least 1 years working experience in a Quality Control role.
Working knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality Standard.
Working knowledge of quality management systems in a manufacturing environment.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Teams and Outlook.
Strong communication skills.
Ability to work on own initiative or as part of a team to achieve a common goal.

The role is predominately factory based
Safety boots are required within the factory and all other PPE required will be provided
Key Personal Skills
· Be organised and pro-active.
· Have the ability to read and understand construction drawings
· Excellent IT skills - MS Word, Outlook and Excel
· Be willing to work in a construction type environment
· Experience in a QA role would be advantageous
· Have a good understanding of English and Maths
· Able to work on your own initiative and as part of a team
· Have good communications skills, both written and spoken
· Good Understanding of ISO9001
