Protocol Education is currently recruiting for a committed and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to work at a welcoming and inclusive primary/secondary special needs school in Croydon. The role is to start in September 2025 and is ideal for individuals passionate about supporting children and young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN).

The Role:
You will work closely with classroom teachers and the SENCO to provide tailored support to pupils with a range of needs, including:
* Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
* ADHD
* Speech, language and communication needs (SLCN)
* Moderate to severe learning difficulties (MLD/SLD)
* Social, emotional and mental health needs (SEMH)
Your responsibilities will include:
* Supporting students 1:1 or in small groups with their learning and emotional needs
* Implementing EHCP targets and personalised learning plans
* Encouraging independence and promoting inclusion
* Helping to create a safe, engaging, and supportive environment
* Working collaboratively with teaching staff, therapists, and families

About You:
* Experience working with children or young people with SEN is desirable (but not essential)
* Calm, patient, and empathetic nature
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* A desire to make a positive impact on pupils’ lives
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply)
