Volunteer Trustee | Assisted Reading for Children (ARCh)
Join us as a Volunteer Trustee at ARCh - Assisted Reading For Children Oxfordshire and help inspire children to develop a lifelong love of reading.
About the role
This is an opportunity to serve on the board of an award-winning Oxfordshire charity that supports over 650 children annually, with ambitions to reach even more. As a trustee, you'll contribute to strategic oversight and help us expand our impact.
What we're looking for
We seek trustees with experience in HR, law, health & safety, fundraising, or IT. Previous board experience and good communication skills are desirable. There is also an opportunity to serve as Board secretary. An interest in children's literacy and the ability to work effectively as part of a team are essential.
Responsibilities
Since 2008, ARCh has helped thousands of children develop a love of reading, enhancing their educational and personal lives. Our achievements include the Queen's Award for Voluntary Service (2016) and OCVA Charity of the Year (2018). We are looking to expand our board with up to three new trustees. Experience in the charity sector, especially related to children and education, is advantageous.
Additional information
The ARCh office is located in Bicester. The board meets six times a year. More details about our work are available on our website.
