Client Support Assistant (CSA) Term (4 months) – Part Time
Location: Bedford campus.
The CSA reports to the Supervisor, Support Services and the Manager, Support Services. The role involves assisting residents with meals and between‑meal refreshments, ensuring their needs are met, and maintaining cleanliness in assigned areas.
Responsibilities
* Cooks and serves meals.
* Cleans kitchen and dining room.
* Assists residents with meals and between‑meal refreshments.
* Maintains cleanliness of assigned areas.
* Provides meal service according to the client’s individual diet.
* Supports the client in adhering to special diet requirements as prescribed by the Clinical Dietitian.
* Requests and accommodates client’s individual choices whenever possible.
* Plans meals with the client, House/Unit Team, and the Department of Food Service.
* Cleans resident rooms and related spaces.
Qualifications
* One to six months of relevant work experience.
* Housekeeping, dietary, or personal care experience is considered an asset.
* High School diploma or equivalent.
* Food Safety Certificate required.
* Food Handlers Certificate considered an asset.
* WHMIS certificate considered an asset.
* Long‑term care experience considered an asset.
* Ability to maintain regular and consistent attendance.
* Must be able to lift 20 lbs at a time, in good general health, and able to endure the day‑to‑day pressure of the position.
Hours of Work: 32 hours biweekly – 10–12 hour shifts.
Effective: May 15th 2026 until September 16th 2026.
