We’re on the hunt for a compassionate and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join a warm and welcoming primary schools in the Clacton-on-sea area. You’ll be working one-to-one with a child who has Special Educational Needs (SEN), supporting them to shine both academically and personally.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Deliver personalised, one-on-one support tailored to the child’s unique learning style and needs.
Partner closely with teachers and SEN coordinators to bring individual learning plans to life.
Build the child’s confidence, independence, and social skills through patient and encouraging support.
Help the child feel fully included by assisting with classroom tasks and group activities.
Keep track of progress and share meaningful updates with the team and family to celebrate achievements and guide next steps.
Play an active role in creating a positive, inclusive, and joyful learning environment where every child belongs.
Who You Are:
Experienced or passionate about working with children with SEN — your empathy and understanding make all the difference!
Friendly, patient, and approachable, with excellent communication skills that put children and adults at ease.
A resourceful problem-solver who stays calm under pressure and adapts quickly.
Flexible and open-minded, ready to meet the child’s evolving needs and support the school community.

What You Need:
✅ A current DBS check or be willing to get one.
Qualifications in education or SEN support are a bonus but not essential — your passion counts most!
