Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Asset Care Engineer to join a manufacturing business in Rugby. The role involves maintaining and improving the reliability of machinery, reducing downtime, and ensuring safety and efficiency across production and utilities.
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8am-4pm (40 hours per week) | Contract: Permanent | Salary: Competitive + benefits
Key Responsibilities
* Planned, preventative, and reactive maintenance on machinery and equipment
* Fault finding and repair on mechanical, electrical, and control systems
* Working on both production and utility equipment
* Ensuring all work meets Health & Safety and compliance standards
* Supporting projects, installations, and shutdowns
* Recording all maintenance work accurately and updating asset data
About You
* Previous experience in a maintenance or engineering role within manufacturing
* Skilled in both mechanical and electrical maintenance
* Good fault‑finding and problem‑solving ability
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* IT literate and confident using maintenance systems
Qualifications
* Time‑served apprenticeship in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
* Minimum NVQ Level 3 qualification (HNC desirable)
* 18th Edition Wiring Regulations beneficial
* Good understanding of safety and compliance standards
