The role
Strutt & Parker’s Land Management team is a leading provider of rural services to an excellent range of innovative and affluent private clients. The office is conveniently located for easy commuting into central London.
An opportunity has arisen to join this successful team and work with a number of significant estate management clients. The role involves engaging in a variety of exciting business and planning projects from start to finish, as well as handling other general rural professional matters including valuation.
The role offers flexibility with a good balance of office and home-based work, and the chance to work on interesting projects to actively optimise clients’ assets in prosperous counties. Flexible working is encouraged, and the work will involve either retained management or rural professional services.
Key Responsibilities
1. Undertake primary day-to-day relationship management with estate clients.
2. Manage landlord and tenant relationships for agricultural, commercial, and residential properties.
3. Handle financial matters, including budgeting and performance reporting.
4. Manage estate employees.
5. Provide concise, practical, and well-reasoned advice to clients.
The Candidate
1. Experienced in the rural sector, from private practice or resident agent background.
2. Experience in project management, planning, development, and RICS Registered Valuer status is advantageous.
3. Confident, organized, and professional.
4. Able to gain trust and build relationships with clients.
5. Commercially astute and hands-on.
6. Financially responsible.
7. Excellent networking and sales skills.
8. Good presentation skills.
9. Excellent interpersonal skills.
10. Self-motivated and resourceful.
11. Confident and clear communicator.
12. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Skills and Qualifications
1. Professionally qualified MRICS; consideration given to newly qualified or more senior candidates with proven rural estate management experience.
2. Excellent research and analytical skills.
3. Proficient IT skills, including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Internet.
