Hyper SQ is recruiting for a talented App Engineer to join an exciting, fast-paced team.
You will join a growing, multi-disciplinary team that encourages innovation and contribution from everyone. Here you will use the latest techniques and technology to produce amazing experiences that will have a real impact on Hyper SQ’s users and the success of the business.
What you’ll be doing
You will be working within an Agile software development team, creating innovative and engaging mobile applications that encourage users to explore the world around them.
Drive application development to implement amazing user experiences
Advocate best practices including reusable code, test coverage and automation
Design reviews and code reviews
Active involvement in refinement and planning sessions
Working well in a team context adapting to and influencing team practices
Optimise applications for speed and scalability
Skills & requirements
Expertise in Swift. A familiarity with Swift UI is beneficial
Proven track record developing high-quality consumer iOS Apps that both delight and entertain
A solid understanding of releasing apps to the App Store
Experience working in service-based environments with API’s (REST/GraphQL)
Good understanding of mobile design systems and component libraries
Added bonuses (or the cherries on top!)
Experience with geolocation and mapping technologies
Automated pipelines/deployment systems
Container platforms such as Docker
A passion for travel or exploring!

45 minute introductory video call with VP Engineering
90 minute video call including a coding exercise that will take approximately 60 minutes. You will be asked to share your screen as you design code to meet some fun challenges
30 minute video conversation with other members of the leadership team
