We are looking for an enthusiastic Commis Chef that has a true passion for great food with a clear focus on presentation and quality and would like to develop and progress through the business.
It’s a picture perfect scene. Swans glide past a whitewashed mill, nestled on the riverbank by an ancient bridge, framed by weeping willows. Lush green water-meadows stretch as far as the eye can see. Welcome to The Mill Hotel, a beautifully converted watermill in the quintessential country town of Sudbury, Suffolk.
History and modernity meet here, with soothing, contemporary interiors throughout the hotel and it’s 62 rooms, complementing the mill’s original features, among them the waterwheel itself – an atmospheric centrepiece in the restaurant and relaxing bar.
Commis duties will include:
· Preparing ingredients to standards set by the Head chef.
· Maintaining high standards of hygiene and health & safety.
· Assist in the day to day running of the kitchen.
· Run designated sections throughout the kitchen.
