Job Title: Claims Technician - Domestic Major Loss
Location: Leeds (Hybrid)
Salary: up to £29k
The Opportunity:
* Support Loss Adjusters with Commercial Property claims, including Business Interruption and property damage
* Act as the first point of contact for policyholders
* Guide customers through the claims process with empathy and clarity
* Liaise with adjusters, contractors, and insurers to ensure fair, efficient claim resolution
* Ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving, clear communication, and making a positive impact
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
* Acting as the initial point of contact for customers, managing communication throughout the lifecycle of a claim
* Assisting Loss Adjusters with claim investigation, triage, file setup, and technical support
* Collaborating with contractors, brokers, and insurers to drive proactive claims resolution
* Ensuring cases are updated, diarised, and closed efficiently while adhering to SLAs
* Supporting complex or high-volume claims during surge periods
* Participating in technical reporting and documentation as required
* Maintaining excellent customer service throughout the claims process
About You – Knowledge and Experience:
* Claims handling experience is essential – ideally within property-related claims
* Strong customer service and communication skills – both written and verbal
* A conscientious, flexible and team-focused attitude
* Ability to self-manage a busy caseload and prioritise effectively
* Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and general IT systems
* Interest in or experience with loss adjusting is highly desirable
* A full UK driving licence is preferred but not essential
