Chef
Salary: £14.25 per hour
Hours: 40 hours per week full time, includes alternate weekends
Are you looking for a new opportunity within the catering industry, without working split shifts, late nights and every weekend?
We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Care Home Chef to join our friendly team. In this role, you will help deliver high-quality, nutritious meals that support the health and wellbeing of our residents. You will work closely with the Head Chef or Senior Chef to ensure all meals are prepared to a high standard and meet dietary requirements.
Oakham Grange is situated in the heart of the Barleythorpe community. We are a state-of-the-art facility with fantastic equipment and resources to work with.
With previous experience working in a professional kitchen environment, your duties will include preparing, cooking and presenting appetising, balanced and varied nutritious foods.
Ensuring that the kitchen is kept clean and hygienic at all times and the environment is safe you will also supervise and mentor junior chefs and kitchen assistants to be efficient within their roles..
You will support the Head Chef and Senior Chef in producing menus that are accessible to all residents and reflect season changes, as well as offering a choice, therefore previous care home experience and knowledge of IDDSI would be an advantage.
