Key Responsibilities
Provide timely and practical risk-based legal advice within the organisation’s constraints on a wide range of issues to the business units, including contractual review, personal data protection, legal training, litigation management, risk management and procurement matters.
Advise on and manage projects assigned to the Legal Division.
Responsible for assigned legal portfolios, including mentoring and supervising junior colleagues in their legal assignments and delivery of projects.
Perform company secretarial duties, including advising the Board and preparing board meeting materials and minutes.
Job Requirements
Proficient in Chinese laws, and having a lawyer's qualification certificate would be preferred.
Experience in commercial or corporate legal matters with an element of sectoral diversity will be an advantage.
Broad-based legal expertise in various areas such as contract law, tort law, employment law, company law, corporate governance, regulatory compliance, the law of arbitration, the law of confidence, IP law, IT law, PDPA, OSA, investment law, ethics, anti-bribery and corruption, crisis management and procurement matters.
Excellent organisational and analytical skills.
Strong communication, interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
High professional integrity, sound judgment, and emotional intelligence to succeed in a dynamic environment and adapt into the work culture of a university environment.
