Job overview
We are looking for a dynamic individual with excellent written and verbal communication skills to work as part of our busy team whilst developing their own skillset.
As part of this role you will support patient pathways by processing and booking patient appointments using multiple systems, this will include outpatient appointments and following training, appointments for our patients on our Lilac follow up system.
The role also entails covering the reception desk daily in the Breast Care Unit, with the ability to communicate well with all members of the multidisciplinary team, patients, and their relatives and to act in a professional, courteous manor at all times.
Main duties of the job
* Booking in patients on the Reception desk
* Taking phone calls from patients answering non clinical enquiries
* Using Maxims to book appointments and manage clinics
* Attending patients on NBSS, RIS and Maxims
* Triaging patients on Maxims into the correct clinics

Person specification
Qualifications
* Maths and English GCSE C or Equivalent
* Level 2 Business Administration or Equivalent Experience
Experience
* Experience working in a reception or similar setting
Skills
* Good communication and relationship skills, including over the telephone
* Be approachable and have the ability to communicate with all levels of staff
* Able to use own initiative to plan, organise and prioritise workload to meet deadlines
Knowledge
* Awareness of Data Protection issues
* Knowledge of Microsoft products including Excel
* Knowledge of medical terminology
* Knowledge of health and safety procedures and guidance
