Newbattle Medical Practice is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated salaried GP to join our friendly and pioneering practice.
We are a large, innovative and dynamic practice with 7 Partners and 10 salaried GPs with a list size of circa 23,900 patients. We work over two sites in Mayfield and Danderhall, providing a high quality primary care service in an area with a wide ranging demographic.
Ideally, we are looking for a GP to provide between 4 - 6 sessions per week starting in August 2025. We operate an online triage system (EConsult); which allows the practice to offer a high degree of flexibility for our staff and deliver good levels of continuity and specific management. We are moving to AccuRx in the near future.

We run an integrated service called Mid Med, offering exceptionally high levels of continuity and access to our most frail patients. The has been externally appraised by Edinburgh University and commended by Health Improvement Scotland.
We are a training practice at undergraduate and postgraduate level and have an active internal programme of clinical education and team meetings. If wished, we could create opportunities for the successfully applicant to be involved with the delivery of this in time.
Our modern purpose built medical centre in Mayfield provides an excellent working environment within 20 minutes drive from Edinburgh. We also have a smaller, newly refurbished, satellite practice in Danderhall, even closer to the city centre.
We are keen to promote environmental sustainability and offer Cycle 2 Work. Permanent employees also benefit from full indemnity cover. Salary will be negotiable based on experience but always highly competitive, starting from £10, 000 per session.
