Warehouse Operative – Goods Inwards People Solutions are currently recruiting for Warehouse Operatives - Goods Inwards to join our well-established client based in Leicester, Leicestershire. This is a full time, permanent opportunity within a busy environment, offering a competitive hourly rate, stable working hours and a supportive team environment Location: Leicester Shifts: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm (1-hour unpaid lunch break) Salary: £13.50 – £14.50 per hour (depending on experience) £28,080 - £30,160 Benefits include: Competitive hourly pay (£13.50 – £14.50 per hour DOE) Company-provided work-wear and PPE Monday to Friday working pattern – no weekends Long-term, stable employment Supportive management and team environment Day-to-day duties: As a Warehouse Operative – Goods Inwards, your duties will include (but are not limited to): Overall management of the Goods Inwards department, reporting directly to the Warehouse Manager Receiving, checking, and booking goods into stock accurately Unloading deliveries and safely storing goods within the warehouse Picking and packing orders for dispatch Loading goods onto delivery vehicles Serving customers at the Trade Counter in a professional manner Maintaining accurate goods-in administration and paperwork Assisting with annual stock takes General warehouse housekeeping, including tidying and maintaining office and storage areas Carrying out general office, clerical, and administrative duties when required Adhering strictly to company health & safety policies and procedures Supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the branch with additional duties as required Essential skills: To be successful in this role, you will need: Proven experience working in a Goods Inwards or warehouse environment Good attention to detail when checking and booking in stock Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively Good communication skills, including customer-facing experience A reliable and flexible approach to work Awareness of health & safety procedures within a warehouse setting Desirable experience: Previous experience managing or overseeing a Goods Inwards function Trade Counter experience Stock control or inventory experience Training: Full on-the-job training will be provided, along with ongoing support to help you succeed in the role.
