About the role
Are you a hunter who loves the thrill of the chase? Based in our Newcastle office, you will be the face of the Newcastle Herald and our broader digital suite. Your focus will be on winning back lapsed clients and securing new business to grow our market share. You’ll spend your days networking, cold calling, and pitching persuasive multi-platform solutions.
You will be responsible for:
* New Business Development: Identify and secure new revenue opportunities through proactive prospecting and cold calling
* Solution Selling: Conduct needs analysis to develop tailored proposals that speak directly to a customer’s objectives
* Account Management: Maintain a robust pipeline and grow existing accounts by presenting fresh digital and print solutions
* Community Engagement: Actively participate in local networking and industry functions to build the profile of our mastheads
What you’ll bring
* Proven Sales Track Record: 3-5 years of face-to-face sales experience with a demonstrable ability to hit revenue targets
* Strategic Thinking: The ability to provide solution-based marketing strategies and navigate a competitive market
* Communication Excellence: You are a confident negotiator and presenter with intermediate digital literacy including Google Suite
* Drive & Autonomy: A self-motivated approach to achieving objectives with minimal supervision
* Mobility: A current valid driver’s license and a well-maintained vehicle
