Grade: H scp 27 £38,220 – scp 31 £41,771 plus Essential Car User Allowance up to £963pa
Contract: Fixed term 12 months. This role requires occasional evening/weekend work.
Essential Requirement: Full Driving Licence.
Essential Qualification: CQSW/DIPSW/SW Degree or equivalent.

The Role
This is a busy and dynamic team offering a statutory service to Looked After Children and Care Leavers some of whom have very complex needs. We work with Young People from the age of 16 potentially up to 25 with the aim of effecting a smooth transition to adulthood for our Care Leavers.
About You
* Excellent communication skills and a persistent approach when engaging with resistance.
* Ability to support Young People to make constructive plans for their future and to see positive outcomes in all aspects of their life including health, accommodation, education, employment and training.
* Assessment, planning and intervention skills to meet needs and address risk.
* Passionate about helping Young People be aspirational and strive towards attainment.
* Comfortable tackling complex and challenging needs, risks and behaviours, understanding the disadvantage faced by Care Leavers and working creatively and collaboratively to redress this balance.
