Your New RoleAs a Pre-Construction Manager/ Estimator, you’ll play a pivotal role in supporting the sales and design teams from concept through to projectmencement. You’ll manage the pre-construction phase, including RFQs, cost planning, design coordination, contract negotiation, and project programming. This is a dynamic position where you’ll liaise with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors, ensuring projects are set up for success.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop RFQs and manage tendering processes.
2. Organise site visits and client meetings.
3. Produce and review project cost plans, lead value engineering exercises.
4. Coordinate design, building regulations, and planning applications.
5. Negotiate contracts and finalise supplier agreements.
6. Create detailed project programmes and facilitate handovers.
7. Attend progress meetings and manage variations during projects.
Projects range up to £2m, covering office fit-outs, refurbishments, and furniture installations within a 50-mile radius (with occasional travel beyond).What’s Needed
Essential:
8. Ability to read and interpret architectural plans.
9. Strong contract/pricing negotiation skills.
10. Minimum 3 years’ experience in office fit-out or related sector.
11. Understanding of building regulations and project management principles.
12. Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and related IT platforms.
13. Full UK driving licence.
Desirable:
14. RICS membership.
15. Project management certification.
