With a strong safety culture and a track record of delivering technically challenging projects, our client are seeking an experienced Pipe Stress Engineer to join its growing team
The Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring piping system design compliance, technical integrity and coordination across multidisciplinary project teams.
Key Objectives
*
Ensure piping design complies with relevant pipework specifications and applicable design standards (e.g. ASME B31.3 or equivalent).
*
Ensure piping design accounts for equipment loading limitations.
*
Identify constraints and requirements that piping may impose on third-party design activities.
*
Ensure requisitions for pipework and valves are technically accurate in both specification and quantity.
*
Identify stress-critical lines.
*
Define load case conditions and equipment loading limitations.
*
Identify external loads for inclusion in analysis.
*
Support or manage outsourced stress analysis activities where applicable.
*
Conduct in-house stress analysis modelling where required, including design modifications to achieve compliance.
*
Coordinate with design/drafting teams to ensure final layouts reflect analysed geometry and support requirements.
Experience & Capabilities
*
Significant relevant piping design experience within Oil & Gas or process industries.
*
Experience working with international clients.
*
Strong team collaboration skills.
*
Continuous improvement mindset.
Professional Requirements
*
Minimum HND (or equivalent experience) in a relevant Engineering or Technical discipline.
*
Competent in MS Office and general IT systems.
*
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
