Financial Accountant
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Financial Accountant to join our finance team. This role will be responsible for supporting the preparation of accurate financial reporting, month-end close activities, and ensuring financial information is maintained in accordance with accounting standards and company policies.
Key Responsibilities
1. Prepare and review monthly financial statements, including Income Statement (P&L), Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow Statement.
2. Lead and support the month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
3. Produce monthly management reports and provide financial analysis to support business decision-making.
4. Perform balance sheet reconciliations and investigate any variances.
5. Assist with preparation of cash flow forecasts and monitor actual cash movements.
6. Ensure financial records are maintained accurately within the SAP S/4HANA system.
7. Support internal and external audit processes, providing required documentation and explanations.
8. Assist with improving financial processes, controls, and reporting efficiency.
9. Collaborate with other finance team members and business stakeholders to ensure accuracy of financial data.
Requirements
10. Part-qualified ACCA or significant progress toward ACCA qualification (essential).
11. Proven experience preparing Income Statements, Balance Sheets, and Cash Flow Statements.
12. Experience with month-end reporting and financial close processes.
13. Experience working with SAP S/4HANA (preferred but not essential).
14. Strong understanding of financial accounting principles and reporting standards.
15. High attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
16. Ability to manage deadlines and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
17. Strong communication and organisational skills.
Desirable Skills
18. Previous experience in a financial accounting or reporting role.
19. Experience working in ERP systems, particularly SAP environments.
20. Advanced Excel skills and financial analysis capability.
