Location:
Hybrid - The role can be based in London, Frimley, or other UK offices such as Gloucester, Manchester, or Leeds. Some UK and international travel may be required. Flexible working arrangements are available; please discuss options with your recruiter.
What you'll be doing:
1. Acting as the primary customer interface for proposals and contractual matters.
2. Leading negotiations with government and commercial organizations.
3. Providing guidance on commercial issues and governance.
4. Identifying risks and opportunities, and seeking approvals.
5. Supporting proposal and contract preparation, including changes.
6. Managing contracts throughout their lifecycle, including disputes.
7. Engaging with other functions to enhance commercial solutions.
8. Working with Procurement and Supply Management on supply chain risks.
9. Developing expertise in products and services.
10. Influencing pricing strategies and contingencies.
Your skills and experiences:
1. Experience contracting with sectors like Defence, National Security, or Government.
2. Knowledge of international contracts and B2B deals.
3. Understanding of legal issues, contract structures, and financial considerations.
4. Ability to analyze risks and project P&L.
5. Experience with contract management issues.
6. Self-motivated, resilient, and able to prioritize under pressure.
7. Excellent communication skills and stakeholder relationship management.
8. Adaptability to different cultural and business environments.
9. Languages such as Spanish, German, or Arabic are a plus.
The team covers all stages of the bid and contract cycle, primarily supporting business in the EMEA region, with opportunities to work in other regions.
