Overview
We are recruiting for a Frame & Covers / Ironworks Operative to join our team in Yorkshire. You will work in a team of highly skilled operatives to replace manhole frames and covers efficiently and carry out reinstatements (paving, tarmac, concrete, etc.).
Location: Bradford, Yorkshire. Hours: 50 hours per week (Monday to Friday, 7am-5pm with a paid lunch). Overtime available at time and a half. Salary: To be discussed.
Responsibilities
* Replace manhole frames and covers efficiently; excavate by hand; replace gullies with precision and care; complete all types of reinstatements (paving, tarmac, concrete, etc.).
* Carry out site-specific risk assessments and discuss changes with team members and site supervisor.
* Ensure on- and off-site activities are live to avoid penalties with highways permits.
* Update and complete site documentation using electronic tablet.
* Operate machinery and tools safely and efficiently to assist with various tasks.
* Record photographic evidence of jobs performed and completed.
* Maintain equipment and tools to ensure they are in good working condition.
* Wear and maintain Personal Protective Equipment.
* Ensure highway reinstatement compliance to avoid defects.
* Be able to read and understand drainage plans.

Experience And Qualifications
* Full UK driving license (required).
* Training will include NPORS, Banksman, Manual Handling, Emergency First Aid, NRSWA, EUSR National Water Hygiene, Asbestos Awareness, Slinger and Signaller, Abrasive Wheels, Calm Water, EUSR Safe Dig – Cat & Genny, EUSR Water, and Face Fit Testing (FFP3).
