Multi-Discipline Engineering Firm - Water Sector
Location: Swillington (main base)
Contract: Permanent (39hours)
About the Role
Our client is a respected, multi‑discipline engineering consultancy operating at the forefront of the UK water sector. As they continue to expand, they are seeking a proactive and detail‑driven individual to join their growing team.
Working closely with the Property Manager and a team of experienced engineers, you will play a key role in supporting land access, statutory processes, and stakeholder engagement. This role suits someone who enjoys structured, process‑led work and takes pride in accuracy, communication, and relationship‑building.
Key Responsibilities
• Building strong, professional relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders
• Supporting statutory processes in line with legal requirements
• Liaising with local councils, road authorities, and land agents (experience beneficial but not essential)
• Conducting research and interpreting land drawings and associated documentation
• Issuing formal notices and maintaining accurate records
• Visiting sites to meet landowners and address queries
• Managing expectations and handling concerns with confidence and empathy
• Completing statutory forms, applications, and associated paperwork
Required Skills & Experience
• Strong organisational skills with exceptional attention to detail
• Confident computer literacy, including Word and Excel
• Effective time management and the ability to prioritise workload
• Clear and professional written and verbal communication
Desirable Attributes
• Previous experience working with councils, highways authorities, or land agents
• A flexible, adaptable approach to changing business needs
• A proactive mindset and willingness to learn
