We are looking for a Maintenance Joiner to join our Building Services Team in Derby.
Working as a Maintenance Joiner you will be responsible for carrying out interior and external maintenance joinery including small works to a high standard.
What you'll do:
* Interpret and work from instructions, drawings and specifications appropriate to his trade, without supervision.
* Set out new work using relevant tools and materials without supervision.
* Experience in the machining of timber and fabrication of new joinery.
* Carry out repairs to ironmongery, blinds, door furniture and glazing.
* Key cutting.
* Cut and construct metal framing systems.
* Prepared to work at high levels on scaffolding.
* Be able to work on small work schemes without supervision.
* Ad-hoc on call for emergency work.
What you'll bring to the role:
* A recognised apprenticeship with a minimum of City & Guilds craft certificate/ NVQ Level 3 IN Carpentry / Joinery and proven experience in the trade.
* Knowledge of Health & Safety Legislation.
* Knowledge of COSHH would be an advantage.
* Construction skill card holder
* Full driving licence
