Responsibilities
* Review reports and summarise key information for decision‑making.
* Interpret monitoring data and model outputs to support environmental protection.
* Summarise and communicate technical work and raise challenges when needed.
* Build strong relationships across a dispersed team and with external partners.
* Use your initiative to contribute to the team's work.
* Take on incident response duties with full training and support; may include additional payment and flexible arrangements.
* Use data to inform water quality models and apply sound records‑management principles.
Qualifications & Experience
* Degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline (water quality, marine environment, environmental science, etc.).
* Desirable: knowledge of water quality and marine environment; working towards professional membership.
* Experience in data analysis and ideally some knowledge of modelling software.
* Proficiency with tools such as Excel, Access, R, Power BI, GIS and specialist packages like Mike or Cormix.
* Comfortable working in a virtual team and travelling for occasional national meetings.
