The Role – Psychology Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant
Full-time, long-term role starting September
Provide 1:1 and small-group support to students with complex needs
Assist with communication, emotional regulation, and daily routines
Collaborate with SEN teachers, therapists, and support staff to deliver personalised support plans
Contribute to classroom management and create a positive, engaging learning environment
Gain exposure to therapeutic approaches, intervention strategies, and EHCP processes
Person Specification
Minimum 2:1 degree in Psychology (or related subject)
Previous experience supporting young people with SEN (school, youth work, tutoring, care) is desirable
Empathetic, patient, and resilient with a calm, confident approach
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
A genuine passion for SEN education and mental health support
