About the School
Our school, with a student roll of 1500, is high-achieving and values a strong Additional Learning Provision (ALP). The successful candidate will work in our newly-built STEP (Skills, Targeted support, Engagement & Progress) Centre, supporting intervention and ALN provision.
Role Responsibilities
1. Support the learning and development of pupils with Additional Learning Needs, adapting approaches to meet individual needs.
2. Assist in delivering small group intervention sessions and support learners in lessons.
3. Collaborate with a Grade 3 (Level 2) Teaching Assistant for Therapeutic support.
4. Support pupils with individual learning plans to promote academic, social, and emotional progress.
5. Provide emotional and behavioral support to foster confidence and independence.
6. Communicate effectively with staff, parents, and external agencies to promote pupil wellbeing and progress.
7. Create a nurturing environment where pupils feel safe, valued, and empowered.
8. Encourage social inclusion and independence both in class and wider school activities.
9. Contribute to learner outcomes, targets, and reviews.
10. Develop resources for emotional, social, and behavioral interventions.
