Quality Inspector Specialist
Location: RG7 4PR, located between Reading and Basingstoke, with free onsite parking. Package: (depending on your suitability, qualifications, and level of experience). Working pattern: AWE operates a 9-day working fortnight.

Key Accountabilities
* Ensure accurate, compliant inspection and verification of product and processes to specified standards.
* Prevent the release of non-conforming product.
* Maintain complete, traceable inspection records.
* Escalate any detected non-conformance immediately and stop work if needed.
Key Responsibilities
* Perform visual, dimensional, and functional inspections per approved criteria.
* Use calibrated measurement tools correctly and care for equipment.
* Record inspection results accurately and ensure documentation meets quality system requirements.
* Communicate non-conformance details clearly to operators and supervisors.
* Support containment actions to protect product integrity.
Requirements
Qualifications (Essential) - GCSEs or equivalent; vocational training in manufacturing/inspection.
Qualifications (Desirable) - Apprenticeship In Engineering/inspection.
Experience (Essential) - Hands-on inspection in a production/regulated environment.
Experience (Desirable) - Experience with precision measurement tools and records.
Skills (Essential) - Attention to detail; Communication; Use of measurement tools; Accurate record keeping.
Skills (Desirable) - Basic IT

Working Arrangements
Due to the classified nature of the work, there are limited opportunities to work from home in this role. It is anticipated that the successful candidate will spend the majority of their time on site at AWE Aldermaston.
