The Maintenance Engineer role has the primary responsibility for maintenance and preventive maintenance of equipment and facilities, establishing and following safe maintenance work practices, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
* Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on production equipment.
* Work closely with production teams to minimize downtime and optimize output.
* Maintain accurate records of all maintenance work and ensure compliance with legislation and standards.
* Liaise with external suppliers and contractors for timely servicing and repairs.
* Conduct regular inspections, servicing, and repairs to prevent breakdowns.
* Ensure machinery and equipment operate reliably and efficiently.
Essential Criteria:
* Previous experience in a manufacturing environment.
* Ability to diagnose, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on production equipment.
* Strong communication and teamwork skills.
* NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Engineering.
