As we continue to grow, we're looking for an experienced and motivated Accounts Payable Assistant to join our finance team and play a key role in keeping our financial operations running smoothly.
Job Description
In this fast‑paced and collaborative AP team, you'll be involved in the full end‑to‑end accounts payable cycle. You'll work with a variety of systems, departments, and suppliers to ensure our financial processes are accurate, efficient, and compliant. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys taking ownership, problem‑solving, and being part of an ambitious and supportive finance function.What you'll be getting involved with:
3. Processing purchase invoices in line with approval procedures
4. Reconciling and clearing the GRNI account
5. Creating and processing payment runs
6. Handling manual payments (where required and authorised)
7. Reviewing and reconciling supplier statements
8. Monitoring and resolving invoice and supplier queries
9. Managing AP mailboxes and responding in a timely manner
10. Processing personal and credit card expenses
11. Supporting internal and external audits
12. Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives within the team
13. Assisting colleagues and providing cover for absences
The Successful Applicant
We're looking for someone who brings:
14. Previous experience in an Accounts Payable or Purchase Ledger role
15. Strong understanding of financial processes and accounting procedures
16. Competence with computerised finance systems
17. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
18. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
19. Strong communication skills and confidence liaising with suppliers
20. A proactive, problem‑solving mindset
21. Commitment to working safely and responsibly
22. Willingness to learn, develop and support continuous improvement
