Lloyd Recruitment Services are working with an excellent local client who is seeking a Sheet Metal Fabricator (trainee) to join their busy and well–established manufacturing team near East Grinstead.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a business that specialises in high–quality fabrications for the roofing and cladding industry. Full training will be provided for a practical, enthusiastic individual with the right attitude and a keen eye for quality.
Key Responsibilities:
* Operate and set up press brake machinery to bend and shape sheet metal
* Use mechanical guillotines to cut sheet metal to specific lengths
* Fabricate components according to technical drawings
* Use hand tools (grinders, drills, jigsaws) for fabrication work
* Interpret and work accurately from engineering drawings and manager instructions
* Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines
* Support with dispatch prep and loading when needed
* Maintain and inspect tools and equipment
* Adhere to all safety and quality standards within the workshop
What We're Looking For:
* Proficiency in basic maths (GCSE Grade 4 minimum or equivalent)
* Hands on approach to work and desire to learn
* Good attention to detail and a commitment to high–quality workmanship
* Must have a full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle due to location
* Previous experience in sheet metal/fabrication/CNC press brakes or manufacturing (advantageous)
