ROLEOVERVIEW:
As Operations Manageryou will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficientexecution of inspections while maintaining compliance with ISO17020 and UKAS accreditation standards. You will also work withother parts of the business to assist with growth andprofitability.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Operational Management:
o Manage the daytoday operations of the Engineer Surveyorsensuring efficient allocation of resources scheduling ofinspections and timely completion of inspections.
o Develop and implement operational strategies policies andprocedures to optimize performance productivity and qualitystandards.
o Monitor and analyse key operationalmetrics identify areas for improvement and implement correctiveactions to enhance overall efficiency and effectiveness.
2. Compliance and Accreditation:
o Ensure compliance with ISO 17020 and UKASaccreditation requirements across all accredited inspectionactivities.
o Maintain a thorough understandingof LOLER PSSR COSHH PUWER and other relevant regulations ensuringadherence to statutory requirements and best practices.
o Participate in internal and external audits to maintainaccreditation status.
o Drive continuousimprovement initiatives to streamline processes and ensure thehighest level of quality service is delivered.
3. Team Leadership:
o Provide strong leadership and guidance to a team ofEngineer Surveyors fostering a culture of excellence collaborationand continuous learning.
o Manage therecruitment training and development of team members promotingprofessional growth and building a skilled and motivatedworkforce.
o Conduct performance evaluations setgoals and provide regular feedback to ensure high levels ofindividual and team performance.
1. ClientRelations:
o Serve as a key point ofcontact for clients building and maintaining strong relationshipsthrough effective communication proactive problemsolving andexceptional customer service.
o Collaborate withthe sales and business development teams to identify opportunitiesfor expanding services and ensuring client satisfaction.
o Address client enquiries concerns and feedback promptlyand professionally striving to exceed expectations and maintainlongterm partnerships.
2. Health andSafety:
o Champion a safetyfirstculture ensuring all inspections and operations adhere to allhealth and safety standards.
o Implement andenforce safety protocols risk assessments to mitigate potentialhazards and ensure the wellbeing of employees andclients.
EDUCATION &QUALIFICATIONS:
* Bachelors degree HNC/HND or similarqualifications in engineering or a relatedfield.
TRAININGKNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:
* Proven experience in operations management preferably inthe engineering inspection industry.
* Knowledgeof ISO 17020 and UKAS accreditation standards.
* Strong understanding of LOLER PSSR COSHH PUWER and otherrelevant regulations.
* Excellent organizationalanalytical and problemsolving skills.
* Exceptional leadership abilities with a track record ofbuilding and managing highperforming teams.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with theability to effectively collaborate with clients employees andstakeholders at all levels.
* Proactive mindsetwith a focus on continuous improvement and delivering exceptionalcustomerservice.
