Data Tracking Officer - Portsmouth, PO1 2AL, United KingdomJob Category: EducationRegion / Division: UK RegionLocation: Civic OfficesWorking Hours: 23.5We are looking for a proactive and motivated Data Tracking Officer to join our Young People’s Participation team. In this vital role, you’ll help ensure that every young person aged 16–19 (and up to 25 for those with SEND) is supported into education, employment, or training by accurately tracking their destinations.This is a 1 year Fixed term contract to cover maternity, working 23.50 hours per week The role As a Data Tracking Officer, you will: Track young people’s destinations through phone calls, texts, emails and home visits.Maintain accurate records on the Core+ CCIS database.Support statutory data collections (such as the September Guarantee and Activity Survey).Provide information and updates to internal teams, external agencies, and partner organisations.Produce reports to support ongoing tracking and service planning.Handle telephone and email enquiries coming into the service. This is a flexible role where you’ll work across different settings and engage directly with young people and families. A driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential for carrying out home visits. The Ideal candidate will have : Minimum Level 2 qualification (including English and Maths).Background in Children’s or Youth Services.Experience with data entry and customer-facing roles.Understanding of Data Protection, Safeguarding, and confidentiality.Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).Strong communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.Ability to build rapport with young people and stakeholders.Attention to detail and ability to identify support needs and refer appropriately.Full driving licence and access to a vehicle (essential).
