Palé Hall offers a great opportunity for a talented and enthusiastic Commis Chef to join our kitchen team. With exciting plans for growth and investment, particularly in our dining options, this is a chance to gain experience in a Three AA Rosette kitchen aiming for a Michelin Star. We welcome applicants who are passionate about making cooking their career and are willing to learn and develop. This is a full time permanent position, five days over seven. Candidates must have the right to live and work in the UK.
One of the AA Five Red Star hotels in Wales, Palé Hall currently offers two contrasting dining experiences: the Henry Robertson fine dining room with four and seven course tasting menus, and the Huntsman bistro with a traditional à la carte menu. Our food is produced from locally sourced and sustainable produce, with menus developing through the seasons.

Responsibilities
* To ensure your station and surrounding areas are clean and set up in the appropriate manner.
* If required, to assist in carrying out ordering and stock taking procedures in a timely manner in line with company standards and in liaison with the senior chef on duty.
* General mise en place to produce well presented food of a high quality.
* To help ensure that stock is managed to a consistent level and rotated accordingly.
* To help manage stock effectively in order to minimise waste.
* If required, to ensure temperatures are taken in accordance with food policy.
* To communicate effectively with other departments of the hotel.
* Company and statutory requirements to be met at all times.
