Salary: £85–£100 per day (depending on experience)
The Supply Register, in partnership with the St Teresa Trust, is seeking a motivated and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join St Vincent’s in Rochdale. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a welcoming school environment that is committed to supporting both staff and pupils.
Key Responsibilities
Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons
Provide 1:1 or small-group support to pupils who require additional help
Assist in preparing resources and maintaining a well-organised classroom
Contribute to pupils’ academic, social, and emotional development
Build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents
Ensure safeguarding, behaviour, and school policies are upheld at all times
Essential Requirements
Experience working with children (school-based experience desirable)
Strong communication and teamwork skills
A positive, patient, and adaptable approach
Ability to support pupils of varying needs and abilities
A DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one
Desirable Experience
Previous experience in a primary school setting
Supporting pupils with SEND or behavioural needs
Knowledge of phonics or intervention strategies
Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
