Job Description:
Are you an experienced System Safety Engineer looking to apply your skills in a new and complex problem domain?
We are recruiting for a number of system safety engineers who will work on real engineering problems, ensuring our products are safe and comply with regulatory standards, whilst championing a safety culture in our projects.
Your work could contribute to:
1. Radar systems for fighter jets like the Typhoon and SAAB Gripen
2. GCAP – Future Generation Radar & Electro-Optical Targeting products
3. Infra-Red Counter Measures (IRCM) systems
4. Laser target designators and ranging systems
5. Surveillance AESA (Active Electronically Scanned Array) radars
Key Skills you will need to have:
6. Experience of safety analysis of complex systems in a safety-critical industry.
7. Experience across a number of engineering lifecycle phases.
8. Experience with at least one of: ARP4754B, ARP4761A, RTCA DO-254, or DO-178C.
9. An interest in new and emerging technologies and safety analysis techniques.
10. Knowledge of lasers, radar systems, and/or sensors and defensive aids systems.
