Job Title: Data Support Specialist – ERP Implementation
Location: Stourport or Rugby, UK, on-site
Duration: 12 months contract
The role:Detail-oriented and analytical Data Support Specialist to support the implementation of a Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) ERP system. This is a limited duration position for approximately 12 to 18 months, playing a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and readiness of master data for the new ERP system. This role would additionally provide support to other roles within the organization as needed (Quality, Production Planning, Purchasing, Customer Service).
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct Master Data AnalysisReview and assess existing system master data to identify gaps, inconsistencies, inaccuracies, and areas for improvement across key data domains.
* Collaborate with Site SMEsWork closely with Subject Matter Experts to drive data transformation activities, including data cleansing, enrichment, consolidation, and standardisation.
* Support Data Mapping for D365 ERPAssist in mapping legacy system data to the new D365 ERP structure, ensuring compliance with global and local data definitions, standards, and governance requirements.
* Develop Data Quality Monitoring ToolsCreate, maintain, and update data quality reports and dashboards to track progress, measure readiness, and flag anomalies requiring remediation.
* Support Data Migration ActivitiesPrepare datasets for migration, validate data loads, perform reconciliation checks, and resolve data discrepancies during testing and cutover phases.
* Document Data Processes and RulesProduce clear and accurate documentation of data processes, transformation logic, mapping rules, validation criteria, and templates.
* Provide Data Analysis SupportDeliver ad hoc data analyses and reports to support project decision‑making, readiness assessments, and troubleshooting activities.
* Provide Cross-Functional Administrative SupportSupport Quality, Production Planning, Purchasing, and Customer Service teams with data entry, job scheduling, reporting, and other administrative or clerical tasks as required.
Qualifications
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Business Analytics, or a related discipline; equivalent professional experience will also be considered.
* Data Analysis ExperienceDemonstrated experience in data analysis, ideally within the context of ERP systems or large‑scale system implementations.
* Technical ProficiencyStrong Excel skills (e.g., data manipulation, validation, lookups, pivot tables).Experience with Power BI, SQL, or similar analytical tools is advantageous.
* ERP KnowledgeFamiliarity with Microsoft Dynamics 365 or comparable ERP platforms is highly desirable.
* Analytical & Communication SkillsExcellent analytical thinking, problem‑solving capabilities, and the ability to present insights clearly to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
* Adaptability & CollaborationAbility to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced, project‑driven environment, managing multiple priorities effectively.
