Position: Maintenance Engineer Job Type: Temporary-to-Permanent (after a minimum 12 week period) Location: Bilston, West Midlands Salary: £19.18-£21.92 per hour (depending on experience and a successful interview) Maintenance Engineer Pure Staff are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Engineer for a manufacturing client based in Bilston. This is a temporary-to-permanent opportunity to join an established engineering team supporting production, facilities, and continuous improvement across the site. The successful Maintenance Engineer will play a key role in maximising production uptime, maintaining equipment, and ensuring compliance with Quality, Environmental and Health & Safety Management Systems. Your Role As a Maintenance Engineer, your duties will include: Managing daily engineering resources to ensure production runs effectively and customer requirements are met Planning, monitoring and deploying Preventive and Autonomous Maintenance Providing engineering support to other group companies where required Carrying out repairs to buildings and non-production equipment Organising quotations and managing contractor works Evaluating equipment performance and implementing improvement actions Recommending and implementing process improvements to increase efficiency and safety Minimising production costs and wastage Spare parts planning and inventory control Maintaining accurate maintenance and compliance records Procuring and managing external service providers for specialist works Requirements Good communication and time-management skills Flexible, positive attitude and strong team-working ability Respectful and professional approach Experience using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word) Experience working with CNC and PLC machinery Experience with rotary flatbed die-cutting presses, horizontal splitting machines, and slitter/rewind lamination equipment Ability to follow procedures and technical instructions accurately Working Hours 38 hours per week Monday - Thursday: 07:00 - 17:00 Paid 10-minute morning break Unpaid 30-minute lunch break Pay for this Maintenance Engineer Role £19.18-£21.92 an hour depending on experience and a successful interview How to Apply To apply for the Maintenance Engineer role please send your up-to-date CV to this advert or call our office and speak to one of our recruitment consultants today!
