We are looking for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Technician to join a maintenance team supporting a materials manufacturing facility, where compounds are produced for wire and cable manufacturing and distributed globally. This role involves working with a wide range of industrial equipment, including mixers, twin-screw systems, extruders, chillers, driers and cutters. It requires fast and effective response to breakdowns, strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills, and the ability to support apprentices and junior technicians. You will also play an active role in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and continuous improvement initiatives, contributing directly to equipment reliability and operational excellence. Reporting Line Reports to: Maintenance Supervisor Shift Pattern Continental shifts: 4 on / 4 off Night shift option can be discussed, depending on candidate preference Key Responsibilities Carry out hands-on maintenance and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) activities Improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) Minimise downtime and maintain high equipment performance standards Ensure compliance with safety, EH&S policies and procedures Accurately log maintenance activities in the CMMS Communicate effectively with production teams and external suppliers Diagnose faults and request spare parts as required Support Root Cause Analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions Background & Experience Completed apprenticeship or equivalent hands-on experience Proven experience in a multi-skilled maintenance role Comfortable working across different machines and technical disciplines 18th Edition qualification (advantageous) Experience with DC drives and motors PLC experience, ideally Allen Bradley (desirable) Experience using tool room equipment (lathe, milling machine, drills, etc.) is a plus Core Competencies Integrity Accountability Inclusion Innovation Teamwork Compensation Base salary: £33,000 Shift allowance: 40%
