Content Designer - UX, Agile SaaS product
Vypr is a Manchester HQ’d private equity/venture capital backed SaaS business. Our market-leading product intelligence platform provides reliable consumer data to help manufacturers and retailers understand what their customers want to see on shelves. This helps reduce the time and cost spent developing new products, which makes for better products, faster. We are a scale-up with huge growth ambitions, using scalable new technology to reimagine our product intelligence platform with limitless potential, including AI-enhanced insight.
Our cross-functional, agile product team brings together content and product designers, delivery managers, engineers and product managers to solve valuable business problems and deliver against Vypr’s product roadmap. This role will be our fifth design hire and the second content designer. You will work within a multidisciplinary team, leading content design and strategy across our platform, app, and marketing. You won’t be joining a large team of content designers, but you will be joining a team that values and understands how important content design is.
About the role
You’ll work with colleagues across Vypr to understand and solve valuable customer problems taking a user-centered approach. The work will be varied: tackling new feature design, discovering new customer needs, defining content design standards and patterns, collaborating with experts to write longform content, and exploring how to help customers solve problems using AI. This is a design role based in Vypr's Product team, not a marketing role.
About you
In your written work and in your conversations you know that asking questions to clarify your understanding is important and you can speak confidently about your approach and decisions, pitching at the correct level of detail depending on context and who you are working with. You move between individual focused work and group collaboration easily and you’re comfortable partnering with other team members. You understand that building strong relationships with colleagues is crucial to understanding problems and distilling them into content that is useful and easily understood.
Flexible
You flex your approach depending on where you are in the product development process. You break down complex problems using maps, flows, prototypes, wireframes, written documents or quick sketches to increase understanding. If you’re navigating ambiguity, you know what to do to create clarity for yourself and your team.
Pragmatic
You balance quality with speed of shipping and consider context and practical implications when making decisions. You identify when to compromise and when to be steadfast in your approach.
Organised
You turn ideas into features in a multi-disciplinary team, taking a methodical, detail-oriented approach. You track decisions, document rules and patterns, and manage content as a core part of delivering value.

* Create clear, useful, and user-focused content that helps our customers achieve their goals
* Manage, organise and update content you create

* You have good command of design tools such as Figma, Miro and Notion
* You’re comfortable talking to users and are knowledgeable about user research best practice
What’s important to you
At Vypr, we value being Agile by embracing flexibility, making quick informed decisions, and driving continuous improvement through testing and iterating.
