A well-established and forward-thinking accountancy practice in Bishops Stortford is looking to recruit an ambitious Semi Senior Accountant to join their growing team.

The Role:
* Preparing accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies
* Preparing personal tax returns
* Preparing VAT returns and bookkeeping reviews
* Supporting senior staff and managers with client work
* Liaising directly with clients and responding to queries professionally
* Assisting with management accounts and ad hoc assignments
* Working to deadlines across a varied client portfolio
Requirements:
* Must have at least 3 years previous experience working within a UK accountancy practice
* AAT qualified or ACCA/ACA part-qualified preferred
* Strong understanding of accounts preparation and bookkeeping
* Experience with cloud-based software such as Xero, QuickBooks, or Sage is advantageous
* Excellent communication and organisational skills
* Motivated, professional, and eager to progress within practice
