Given the growth and expansion of our Rail South business area, we are seeking a Senior/Principal Design Engineer in E&P Traction Power who will provide technical leadership for assigned projects, ensuring successful delivery for the mechanical and public health teams.

Responsibilities:
* Provide technical leadership at a subject level, including LV, HV distribution, traction HV systems, sustainable technologies, and renewable energy systems.
* Line management responsibilities for team development and performance management.
* Contribute to market intelligence, develop bidding processes, and mentor team members.
* Evaluate technical competence of staff and identify training or mentoring needs.
Qualifications & Experience:
* Competency in HV traction power and distribution of AC & DC traction power systems.
* Experience as an E&P CRE with design management on rail projects.
* Proven ability to deliver high-quality designs on time and within budget, serving as CRE or CEM.
* UK railway experience, with knowledge of traction power systems and Network Rail's processes.
* Leadership experience across dispersed teams.
* Experience with 3D BIM environments and common data environments like ProjectWise.
* Capabilities in traction power AC or DC design and expertise in EMC, harmonics, and HV earthing systems.
* Electrical Power Engineering Degree; Chartered Engineer (CEng) is a plus.
