We’re Hiring: Pre-School Practitioner
Are you passionate about early childhood education? We are looking for a caring, creative, and dedicated Pre-School Practitioner to join our team. If you are qualified to a Level 3 Diploma or above in Early Years Childcare, and have a nurturing approach to supporting children’s development, we would love to hear from you.
Experience working with children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the day-to-day running of the pre-school under the direction of the Manager.
Provide a stimulating, safe, and inclusive environment that promotes learning through play.
Act as a Key Worker for a small group of children, maintaining accurate developmental records and building strong relationships with families.
Encourage children’s development across all areas through interaction, observation, and thoughtful extension of their play.
Maintain high standards of hygiene, health, and safety at all times.
Maintain confidentiality regarding children, families, and staff.
Be actively involved in curriculum planning, policy development, and record keeping.
Attend and contribute to staff meetings and training sessions as required.
Create and support an environment that reflects the pre-school’s commitment to equality and inclusion.
Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure consistent quality of care and education.
Engage parents and carers in their children's learning journey and encourage active involvement.
Be flexible and willing to support other areas of the pre-school as needed, including domestic tasks and staff cover.
Requirements:
Level 3 Diploma (or above) in Early Years Childcare (essential)
Experience working with SEND children (desirable)
A genuine passion for working with children aged 2–5 years
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Ability to maintain a positive, professional attitude in a busy environment
A flexible and proactive approach to supporting the needs of the pre-school
