About The Role
This is an exciting trainee Installation & Commissioning Engineer position within Raytheon Air Traffic Management. You will take the Air Traffic Control system from the factory and install it on site at customers’ premises both in the UK and overseas. Projects range from turnkey systems to simple upgrades, and you will manage all on‑site work and sell‑off to the customer as Raytheon’s interface.
Deployments last 2–3 months and can be anywhere in the world, from Europe to Africa, the Middle East, Scandinavia, North and South America, Asia, Australia, and beyond. While onsite you will report to the Programme Manager and represent Raytheon to the customer.
This role offers full installation and commissioning training through hands‑on work with experienced engineers and formal off‑site courses.
Essential Skills
* Willingness to travel both domestic and international
* Interest in electrical installation
* Practical hands‑on engineering skills
* Full clean driving licence
* Valid passport
* Team player but equally comfortable working alone
* Good verbal and written communication skills
* Knowledge of HSE regulations
* Problem‑solving ability – able to analyse and solve unusual problems
Desirable Skills
* Experience installing electrical/electronic equipment
* Certified to the 17th/18th Edition of Wiring Regulations
* Certified industrial climber
