Team: Retail
Location: Eastbourne
Work pattern: 37.5 hours on a rota basis (including weekends)
Salary: Up to £25,644 per annum
Contract: Permanent
Responsibilities
* Lead, manage, coach and develop a shop team of employees and volunteers.
* Maximise shop performance through safe day‑to‑day operational management.
* Take ownership of shop income, expenditure and operating profit budgets.
* Support the work of Cats Protection, acting as brand ambassador and model of values and behaviours.
About the Retail Team
The retail operation consists of over 80 charity shops.
Qualifications
* Demonstrable learning and experience from a relevant retail environment.
* Previous line‑management experience of a team, building a culture to achieve collective goals.
* Experience/understanding of working to sales targets and budgets.
* Excellent organisational skills including meeting deadlines.
* Strong commercial awareness balanced with appreciation for the Charity’s unique needs.
