We have an exciting opportunity for a Pharmacy Technician to join our Pharmacy team at HMP Stocken, a Category C prison located in Oakham.
About the Role
HMP Stocken consists of 1,285 adult males. The Pharmacy is not a dispensary pharmacy; there are six dispenser hatches within medication/administration points. The pharmacy team consists of a Pharmacist, Pharmacy Technician, and a Dispenser.
Hours
* Monday – Sunday service
* Weekdays 7:30 am – 5:30 pm
* Weekends and Bank Holidays 8:30 am – 5:30 pm
Salary
This full‑time position offers an annual salary between £34,428 – £41,659 per annum, depending on experience.

Responsibilities
* Provide outstanding quality‑based, patient‑centred care to patients, seeking out, listening to, and acting on their feedback so that care is personalised and informed by what matters to them.
* Focus on providing a safe and secure medicines management service, ensuring patient records are maintained to agreed standards at all times and standard operating procedures are followed to a high and orderly standard.
* Deliver non‑judgemental care within the scope of professional standards, from timely medication administration to cost‑effective prescribing as defined through the Health in Justice medicines policy.
* Work as a key member of a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals.

Qualifications
* NVQ Level 3, or above, BTEC or equivalent.
* Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
* Up‑to‑date with Continual Professional Development (CPD).
* Relevant post‑qualification pharmacy experience.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work unsupervised while following policy and procedures.
Ideal applicants will have experience in a hospital, community, or prison environment.
