Environmental Health Officer – 2 roles
About the Role:
Wirral Council's Environmental Health Service carries out a wide range of public protection duties including food safety, health and safety, pollution control, animal health, and shellfish bed classification.
There is currently an opportunity within the team for an Environmental Health Officer to assist in delivering all the service's statutory functions.
About the candidate:
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual, capable of working under pressure and meeting challenging deadlines, to provide high-quality services to the public, the business community, and external organizations.
We seek candidates with excellent communication and negotiating skills, along with sound knowledge of Environmental Health legislation.
While the job description states that a Certificate of Registration from the Environmental Health Officers Registration Board or equivalent is required, we welcome applications from those willing to work towards becoming a Registered Environmental Health Practitioner with the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health.
The successful candidate must hold a Full Driving Licence.
