What you'll be doing
You’ll help ensure our Aberdeen energy recovery plant operates safely and at peak performance:
* Deliver planned and reactive mechanical maintenance across all plant areas, ensuring installations and modifications meet the latest standards and regulatory requirements.
* Provide guidance, supervision, and technical support to junior staff and contractors to support skill development and safe working practices.
* Troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues promptly to maximise plant availability and efficiency.
* Collaborate with colleagues across different functions to support smooth, cross-team operations.
* Contribute to a strong culture of continuous improvement, health & safety, and environmental compliance.
What we're looking for
We welcome applications from people of all backgrounds and career stages — your practical skills and enthusiasm for sustainable operations matter most:
* Predominantly mechanical background with basic electrical knowledge and a minimum HNC qualification (or equivalent hands-on experience).
* Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician/Engineer in manufacturing, production, heavy industrial, or process environments.
* Knowledge of equipment including conveyors, motors, gearboxes, hydraulics, and pneumatics (basic electrical fault-finding is highly beneficial).
* Ability to use Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) is highly desirable.
* Commitment to health & safety (IOSH qualification desirable but not essential — full training and support provided).
