SEN Teaching Assistant BS5 Full-Time ASAP Start A Primary School in Central Bristol is currently seeking Teaching Assistants who are experienced with SEN children. This role is based within a Mainstream school but you will be supporting children within their Inclusion Rooms. At this three form entry school, their highly experienced teachers and staff are committed to providing a nurturing environment so that all of their children succeed. As part of a large School Trust, they are able to offer an inspiring curriculum, where they expect their children to think differently. The Role There are 2 positions available, both full-time, Monday to Friday, Term Time only, as consistency for the children is key. You will be working within a team of 4 adults and a Class Teacher to work with 5-6 children who have a mix of needs including; ASD, Non-Verbal and SEMH. The Head Teacher is looking for someone who has prior experience with SEN, someone who is caring, adaptable, can build strong relationships but to also encourage engagement in their activities to support their individual developments and goals. You will be expected to: Work collaboratively with the class teacher to develop activities. Be adaptable to meet the needs of individuals. Work 1:1 with children and sometimes in small groups supporting interventions. Support assessment and evidencing learning. Maintain a safe and positive learning environment.
